For Teams and Organizations

Ndidi Breathwork™

Rooted in Nigerian Wisdom

What Is Ndidi Breathwork™

Ndidi (n-DEE-dee) Breathwork™ is African-centered, not a borrowed wellness trend. The sessions are guided by breath, sound, and movement with live African instruments and music.

Each session releases stored stress and clears mental fog, so your employees bring more energy, clarity, and focus back to their work.

Ndidi means steadfastness in Igbo, the patient endurance to keep returning to your body, breath by breath, until what has been stored there finally moves and you feel alive again.

Ndidi Breathwork™ is built around three pillars, which can surface once the body lets go of what it has been holding:

Udo Peace

Harmony, rest, inner peace

Ike Strength

Inner power, vitality, agency

Aṅụrị Joy

Delight, laughter, aliveness

I am free. I am alive. Energy flows through me.

Why Your Workplace Needs This

Your team is running on empty, and the leaders holding it together are carrying even more. Workplace stress and burnout are showing up in the numbers.

77%

of U.S. workers reported stress at work in the past month, and 57% reported negative health effects as a result.

American Psychological Association, 2023 1
20%

of employees worldwide are engaged at work, the lowest level since 2020, with low engagement costing the global economy an estimated $10 trillion a year.

Gallup, 2026 2

Your employees are stretched, and the employee wellness benefits you already offer are not reaching most of them. Ndidi Breathwork™ gives your team a real, embodied way to release workplace stress and support burnout prevention, instead of another webinar or wellness email that goes unopened.

Meet Your Guide

Nnemoma Chukwumerije, LMSW

Nnemoma is a Nigerian medicine woman, breathwork guide, and life coach, and she leads every session as a licensed social worker (LMSW, Columbia University) trained in trauma-informed facilitation. She uses breath, sound, and movement, rooted in her Nigerian ancestry, to help people release what is blocking them and get back to the clarity, energy, and vitality to lead and work well.

Her path didn't start in a wellness space. It started in a cubicle, where she was doing everything "right" as the firstborn daughter of Nigerian immigrants while quietly depressed the whole time. Breathwork moved what nothing else had. What began as a personal practice became a calling, and today she leads Ndidi Breathwork™ for corporate wellness programs, conferences, schools, retreats, and communities.

What A Session Looks Like

Every session is adapted in real time to the room, the group, and the moment.

01

Breathwork

Guided breathing patterns that shift the nervous system out of fight or flight and into a state where real stress release becomes possible.

02

Sound

Live instruments, music, and voice woven with the breath to help the body release what words can't reach.

03

Movement

Gentle, free flowing movement that brings people back into their bodies.

04

Community

Practiced in circle, where people breathe, move, and witness each other. This is often where the real shift happens.

05

Reflection

A closing prompt that turns what surfaced in the body into language, clarity, and an intention to carry forward.

FAQ

Is it safe for people with anxiety or trauma?

Yes. Sessions are trauma-informed and paced by the group, and participation in any part is always optional.

What space and equipment do we need?

For in person sessions, you'll need a room where people can sit down comfortably, with chairs or floor space, ideally arranged in a circle. Depending on group size, audio support may be needed for the music. For virtual sessions, each person needs a device, a stable internet connection, and a quiet, private space where they can sit comfortably. Headphones are recommended.

Can it work for remote or hybrid teams?

Virtual sessions work well for fully remote teams, and in person sessions are ideal for teams who share a workspace. We don't recommend a hybrid setup where some people are in the room and others are on a screen, because everyone has a better experience when they're all in the same format.

What budget does this fit under?

Corporate wellness, employee wellness, leadership development, retention, belonging, and conference programming budgets. If your organization already funds any of those, Ndidi Breathwork™ fits into that line and doesn't add a new category to justify.

What's the difference between this and a meditation or yoga session?

Meditation usually asks you to quiet your mind, and yoga moves your body through poses (the asanas). This form of breathwork goes a step further, combining guided breathing patterns with live sound instruments and movement, and the presence of the group. You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or good at sitting still to get something out of it.

Is this religious?

No. It's rooted in Nigerian cultural tradition and isn't tied to any religious practice or belief system. It's welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
